Youth Opportunities

family ministries night

Family Ministries Night is an opportunity for families to enjoy dinner and singing together before students attend their different ministries. Family Ministries Night occurs twice a month on Wednesdays from September through April. Dinner is available from 5:30 to 6pm, followed by a time of singing. Student ministries, which includes our girls club, boys club, and middle school youth group, begin at 6:20 and run until 8pm.

GEMS Girls Club: 2nd - 5th grade

Girls Club (GEMS) is a safe place for girls, Grades 2nd-5th, to discover who God created them to be. Our goal is to help girls find Jesus, live out God’s word, and be witnesses to others. This year our theme is Rise Up. We will use the story of Queen Esther to consider how we can rise up to honor God and demonstrate our love for others.

Boys Club: 2nd - 5th grade

Our Boys Club (Cadets) is for students 2nd-5th grade. Meetings normally include a Bible lesson, small group time, and activity time where boys work on projects with their counselors. They may even get to watch guest speakers do demonstrations. The theme for Boys Club this year is Rooted and Grounded. We will use the book of Ephesians to help us understand how to stay rooted and grounded in our faith.

Spark: 6th - 8th Grade

Middle School Youth Group (Spark) is for our students in Grades 6-8. A regular meeting includes a lesson and time to be social, but other opportunities include service projects and fun outings.

Flame: High School

High School Youth Group (Flame) meets twice a month on Sunday nights from 5 to 7 pm in the youth room. We have dinner together and then spend time in study and fellowship. There is also plenty of fun! Flame strives to help our high school students become mature Christians through fellowship, studying God’s word, prayer, and acts of service.

Adult Opportunities

Young Adults

Our post-high school adults gather regularly to check in and catch up with each other. Various activities and meeting places are planned.

Women's Ministry

Several activities are planned throughout the year to give our women the opportunity to fellowship together. Some of these activities include book clubs, speakers, outings, and activity nights.

Men's Ministry

All generations of men are welcome to join us in our men’s ministry, which features Tuesday Morning Bible Study, and Summer Softball League.

Seniors

Our retirees have the opportunity to grow and fellowship together with experiences hosted by the Ridgewood Ramblers. This might include a trip to Shipshewana or catching a show at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids.

Intergenerational Ministry

It is important that members of all ages fellowship together. We have Care Groups that plan different activities for the members of their groups. We also enjoy gathering as a whole congregation to share a meal and enjoy each other.
